Lynne Burdett M.A.

Lynne has a personal interest in hearing and hearing aids after being diagnosed with a hearing loss in her teens.  Lynne finds  helping others achieve the best hearing health the most rewarding aspect of being an audiologist.  Lynne obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders at the University of Western Ontario and obtained her Masters of Arts in Audiology at Central Michigan University. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA) and the Ontario Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA). She is a published clinician and has been practicing Audiology in Brampton since 1989.  Lynne is a mother of three and when not practicing audiology spends her time with her children, husband and dog Max.

Janet has been interested in audiology since her high school days in Thunder Bay. In her spare time she worked for an Ear Nose and Throat physician in town and soon discovered her calling. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders at the University of Western Ontario and her Master of Science in Audiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA).  Janet spent 5 years working in a busy hospital audiology clinic in Kingston, Ontario before coming to Brampton. When not at Peel Audiology and Hearing Aid Services Janet can either be found on her sailboat or at the curling rink.

Mehak Sidhu
Audiologist

After graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science and Psychology Mehak was interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. She was one of thirteen students accepted into the Master of Science in Audiology at Dalhousie University. Mehak has had placements with both a non-profit organization where she gained experience working with the Deaf and hard of hearing and at a children’s hospital where she developed a joy working with children. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). Originally from Windsor Ontario Mehak has recently moved to Brampton to be close to her extended family. Mehak has been working on her Punjabi with her parents and grandmother. When not practicing audiology Mehak enjoys reading and travelling.

Sylvia Ciechanowski
Audiologist

After working for several years at a hearing aid manufacturer, Sylvia’s passion for hearing healthcare inspired her to obtain her Master of Science in Audiology at Dalhousie University. Sylvia has a background in Biological Science with Honors from the University of Guelph. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of the Canadian Academy of Audiologists (CAA). Sylvia completed placements with the National Health Service in the United Kingdom as well as at the Nova Scotia Hearing & Speech Centres (NSHSC) at a hospital affiliated with Ear-Nose-Throat physicians. She has a passion for humanitarian work and traveled to Haiti with the Hear the World Foundation to test hearing and fit hearing aids in orphanages and the vulnerable deaf communities. Sylvia also worked for the Dalhousie Hearing Aid Assistance Program (DHAAP) which provides hearing aids to community members in need. Sylvia is fluent in Polish, loves to learn new things and travel.

Nina Almeida
Client Care Professional

Nina has over 10 years of experience in clinical healthcare and wellness as a Manager, customer service lead and administrator. She is passionate about promoting health and helping others. She is a joy to have around the office and will always welcome you with a smile. In her spare time, Nina enjoys practicing yoga, but mostly making memories with her three children and husband.

Debbie Da Rosa
Client Care Professional

Debbie has a diploma in Community Outreach from Sheridan College. She brings over 15 years of experience providing exceptional customer service. She loves helping others and is truly grateful to be able to do this every day at Peel Audiology & Hearing Aid Services. She is also happy to have the flexibility to spend time with her two wonderful little girls.
