Life in Kugluktuk
Monday May 21
We spent the morning wandering around Kugluktuk getting the lay of the land.
In the afternoon we were taken ice fishing on the Arctic Ocean. We even caught fish (I think our hosts were happy since we weren’t leaving until we did).
When we got back to the Inn we met another guest Nelson Tagoona, internationally renowned throat boxer. He’s in town to do a workshop with the high school students. We were lucky to get a private concert with this incredible musician!
We spent the day in the school testing hearing. At the end of the day I had a nice surprise. Roy stopped by with a carving. He did a wonderful job. Thanks Roy
One more day of testing in Kugluktuk and then we’re off to Cambridge Bay.
